Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome is a vascular compression that occurs when the third part of the duodenum is compressed in between the aorta and superior mesenteric artery.

This condition affects less than 1% of the population, and due to its rarity many with the condition go years without a diagnosis or proper treatment. This condition causes severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, weight loss and many lose their ability to eat, and have to rely on feeding tubes or alternative nutrition to sustain themselves. Due to the lack of medical professionals knowing about this condition, many are left to find their own treatments, and sometimes are forced to leave their countries to seek out a knowledgeable medical professional.

This condition is life altering and those living with it deserve better care, and it starts by raising awareness. All proceeds from purchasing a shirt, sweater or hat will be going to the SMAS Nonprofit Organization. This will help them in their endeavours towards research and awareness.
