Adeline, aka AED Girl, lives with Long QT Syndrome Type 2 and carries an automated external defibrillator (AED) with her wherever she goes. She’s passionate about raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest, CPR, and AEDs, and she loves teaching others her signature “heart hands,” a symbol of her mission to save lives.
Proceeds from this shirt benefit the Pediatric Electrophysiology Fund at the Duke Pediatric & Congenital Heart Center. This fund is dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac death in children through initiatives like early heart screenings to identify those at risk, improving emergency preparedness in schools and communities through Project ADAM, driving cutting-edge research on inherited arrhythmia syndromes, and training the next generation of doctors and scientists in this vital field. <3
