Just two days before his fourth birthday, our son Grant, who has autism and Duchenne muscular dystrophy, survived a near-fatal drowning accident. His journey has included months in the PICU, countless obstacles, and an ongoing road to recovery. Every day, he continues to remind us what resilience looks like.
This fundraiser helps support our family’s medical and recovery expenses, but it’s also about something bigger. Children with autism are at a significantly higher risk of drowning, and we hope Grant’s story raises awareness about the importance of water safety and prevention.
