Find light in every phase

Cooper is a 8 month old happy baby, despite all he has been through. On June 9th just shy of 4 months old we were admitted at children’s hospital after Cooper had BRUE episode. They found his calcium to be elevated, and did further testing where they discovered a mass on his left kidney. On June 16th he had a total removal of his left kidney where they discovered the mass was malignant Rhabdoid tumor. Cooper went through 3 cycles of chemo, and 21 days of radiation in his abdomen. At the end of July he was admitted for a long stay where on a brain MRI discovered another small tumor on his brain making his diagnosis now MRT with synchronous ATRT.

Cooper has had 2 more surgeries on his brain and we just finished cycle 6 of chemo and he is now getting proton radiation of the brain for 30 fractions. We just finished the first week! Cooper is talkative and learning how to sit up by him self. He’s starting to enjoy trying some new foods. He loves to spend time with his big brothers and family.
