"Thank you for visiting my Clara Fights Cancer merch page! I have Stage 4 Lung Cancer with metastasis to my breast, liver, lymph nodes, bones, brain, and pelvis. In my pelvis, I have two large tumors which are attached to my ovaries. These tumors are protruding, sometimes painful, and very uncomfortable in my body. They cause me to experience many frustrating side effects including having to use self-catheters due to the bigger tumor sitting directly on my bladder as well as sometimes experiencing bowel incontinence because both tumors press against my colon.
I have been self-advocating since the beginning of my cancer journey to have surgery to remove these tumors. My team and I have had a lot of back and forth as I got through chemo and radiation first and now am on targeted therapy. Thankfully I’m stable and the tumors are in a good spot for surgery. Because the masses are attached to my ovaries, during surgery, my surgeon will most likely remove both of my ovaries. This has been a lot to grieve as I work through this loss.
