"Xavier is a 3 year old boy recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has several complex medical and health issues. He was born with Down Syndrome and a couple of rare conditions: Tracheal Malacia (multi-level tracheal stenosis and complete tracheal rings) and Imperforate Anus/ Anorectal Malformation, requiring many past surgeries. Xavier does not let these challenges define him! He is an active, fun loving, curious, silly, sweet, amazing little boy. He teaches us joy in the midst of all circumstances. He is the youngest of five (with four doting big sisters), and is always a bright light in our lives! He continues to show us true bravery, strength, courage, and resilience in ways only a little warrior could. We love him so much!
The ribbons on this shirt represent Leukemia (orange), Down Syndrome (yellow/ blue), Rare Diseases (black/white zebra stripe), Tracheal Malacia (blue), and IA/ARM (teal zebra stripes)
The scripture verse from Joshua 1:9 has been imprinted onto our hearts since he was in the womb, and it continues to be the anthem for our current Journey of Hope.
